The Process of Scanning 35mm Film

In this video, I explore the Veho Smartfix Film Scanner, a compact and portable tool for scanning 35mm negatives. Film scanning has become both a cost-saving measure and a meditative way for me to revisit memories captured on film.

The Veho Smartfix stands out for its portability and ease of use, though I question its on-the-go practicality. Its 32 GB SD card limit is sufficient for casual use but somewhat restrictive. Operating more like a digital camera taking photos of negatives than a traditional flatbed scanner, it offers a unique approach to digitizing film.

Despite its quirks, I find the process fulfilling—a quiet ritual that deepens my connection to photography. For anyone starting out with film scanning, this device could be the perfect entry point.
